"Kelby is the winemaker at Red Newt Cellars, and a couple of years ago decided to make some small batch wines - all of which are fantastic. The Dry Riesling is properly dry - we are talking bone-dry and is crisp as anything. It separates the men from the boys at the Riesling table but do not fear as this is anything but piercingly dry like many other dry Rieslings which are nothing but acid. This has substance, panache, and a metric tonne of fruit ripeness to back it all up and balance it out. Lilacs and apple blossom leap from the glass, quickly moving on to green apple skin and white nectarine. One of the longest finishes I have encountered in a while, too."
