Daniel Alba Bodegas

Daniel Alba Bodegas was set up by a Frenchman that was a trained winemaker working in Burgundy, yet had a passion for Spain and their red wines. The passion stems from his grandfather who is lucky enough to have been a grape grower of Mencia vines in the region of Bierzo. It is the very old (over a century) vines that Daniel inherited and is using now to produce his internationally acclaimed portfolio of wines. He solely makes wines form the Monastrell (aka Mouvedre) grape variety.
