Syrah/Shiraz
Syrah or Shiraz is the name given to this grape varietal. Syrah is what it is called in France, where it comes from, here it produces the wines of the Rhone Valley. Shiraz is what it is called in Australia and many of the new world countries. Depending on where it is planted it is a medium-full bodied red wine that has black fruit and spicy flavours.
