Gut Oggau is a small wine estate in the Burgenland region of Austria. It was started in 2007 by a young couple: Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe-Eselbock who took over an old property in Oggau. They are now producing some of the most sought after wines in all of Austria.
Each wine is named after a fictional character, created by Jung von Matt a German designer, who make up a family tree that spans over three generations. The youngest and juiciest wines are the young generation, the more distinctive and developed wines are the adult generation, and finally the older generation are the wines that are the most complex that take a few moments, or years, to develop and show 'all their wisdom'.
