Long Island, New York State

After the Finger Lakes region of New York, Long Island is the most well known region for quality wine. It is a much warmer region in the summer from the Finger Lakes and has a climate akin to that of Bordeaux in France. This allows to have the perfect climate for red wines like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as fuller bodied whites like Chardonnay.
