Mazuelo/Carignan
Mazuelo (as it is known in Spain) or Carignan (as it is known in France) is a red grape varietal that is capable of producing some very full-bodied, tannic red wines. The grape in question is often just used as a blending grape to give colour, tannins and acidity to the blends.
