Nerello Mascalese
If you've ever had a red wine from Sicily the chances are that it had at least a tiny drop of Nerello Mascalese in it. Nerello, for short, is one of the most important grape varietals indigenous to Sicily. It is most well known for being the leading grape in the red wines of Mt Etna.
