Torre dei Beati Winery

Torre dei Beati's vineyards are relative young-ins in the Abruzzo region of Puglia being only planted in 1972 but they are at this moment producing some of the most exciting and complex wines from the region. The focus is on Montepulciano - the great red grape of Puglia but they also make a few interesting whites namely from the Pecorino grape. The winery only became 'commercial' at the turn of the century which allowed for the vines to get a couple of decades of growth in before selling off the wine - just one of the steps and sacrifices this winery has taken to ensure the best wines are made and sold.
