Val di Suga Winery
Val di Suga is a small but prestigious winery in the Montalcino region of southern Tuscany. The vineyards were planted, relatively recently, in 1969 and the first wine that was sold was their fantastic 1977 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva. Ever since day one, they have had a very French take on the winemaking process. This has resulted in a more refined, pure, Sangiovese wine for both their Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines - instead of the usual which tend to be a tad over-extracted.
