Greco is a white grape varietal that resides largely in the region of Campania in southern Italy.
Greco is important in the sub-regions of Campania such as Avellino, Napoli and Salerno but it is often recognised as ‘Greco di Tufo’. Tufo refers to the limestone soils that Greco is mostly planted on in all of these regions.
The best wines have a full body and moderate acidity. The aromatics are of white fruits, lemons and apricot.
