Inzolia

Classic aromas of Inzolia are: Lemon, Red Apple and Grapefruit

Inzolia is a white grape varietal best known on the island of Sicily, though it has been planted in Tuscany since the 16th century. Though out of the total 9,500ha in Italy the clear majority of 7,795ha are found in Sicily.

Inzolia is one of the oldest grape varietals of Sicily, white or red, and thus is one of the most important. It is important in the production of Marsala but is increasingly being blended with other white grapes such as Catarratto and Grillo to make refreshing white wines.

The best wines have a moderate acidity and a medium bodied, with aromas of lemon citrus and white tree-fruits such as apple.
