Manzoni Bianco

Classic aromas of Manzoni Bianco are: Orange, Lime, Honeycomb, Buttered Toast

Manzoni Bianco is a white grape varietal that is a cross of Riesling and Pinot Blanc. It was crossed over the early 1930s in northern Italy. It is considered to be a grape varietal of very high quality that is producing top wines by a small group of winemakers.

Though it was crossed in northern Italy, in the Veneto region, it now is planted throughout central and southern Italy. Usually Manzoni Bianco produces dry white wines but in recent years there are have been a few sparkling and sweet wines cropping up.

The best examples of Manzoni Bianco are full-bodied whites with flavours of orange peel, lime, honeycomb and jasmine florals. There are a few examples that are oak-aged which adds a richer dimension again.
