"Many Tawny Ports are a blend of white and ruby to give a tawny colour - not this one! The Romaneira spends at least three years in oak so in effect is a baby 10 Year Old. This has a really nutty nose with toasted almonds and hazelnuts are thrown about with ripe red plum flavours. Mocha, vanilla bean and dutch cocoa are on the nose and palate. This is silky smooth on the palate with just a hint of acidity which helps to balance it all out."
