Clos Saint Jean

Clos Saint Jean is headed by the brothers: Pascal and Vincent Maurel. They have over 100 acres of top land in the Chateaneuf-du-Pape region of the southern Rhone Valley and in the best years they produce up to 5 wines - when they see fit to produce an extra couple of single vineyard wines. Jeb Dunnuck, one of the greatest Rhone commentators, recently noted this about their wines: "there are few wines in the world I'd rather drink". Think that says it all, doesn't it?
