Grappa
Grappa is a kind of brandy that is made from the 'pomace', or grape skins and seeds, that are left over from the winemaking process. These aromatic skins (and some juice) are distilled to create pure extracts of the flavours in the respective skins. Often very aromatic grape varietals such as Muscat are used in the production of Grappa. The best examples are oaked which give more flavour and textural richness.
