Petite Sirah

You might be thinking that Petite Sirah is a cousin to Syrah - surprisingly you would be wrong. It is a red grape and often found in regions where Syrah is planted but that is largely due to having similar characteristics. It produces juicy, black-fruit heavy wines but retains more acidity than Syrah or Shiraz wines often do.
